This was one HOT day…and I mean H.O.T. I think it probably hit 125 at one point 🙂 But you would not have known at all from looking at Brian and Laura – just happy and content all day. Laura got ready and had photos done at her sorority house and it was a blast. The girls were just so sweet to her and took care of EVERYTHING for her – something every bride needs! The poor guys had it rough with their tuxes on in the heat, but they were troopers and looked great. I had to give this couple a whooper of a preview – they’ve been so patient these last few weeks waiting to see some images from their big day – well, you newlyweds, here is part one of your preview – enjoy!!

Laura and Brian got married on Laura’s birthday!! And not just any birthday – the big 3-0!! Brian better never forget this date! 🙂

  • kendra - hey jess, love your work. I LOVE the ring photos. (= beautiful couple!

I just love this family – they are adorable and so sweet. Leila is such a beautiful little lady – those curls are unbelievable 🙂 I photographed Leila when she was just a few weeks old and I have loved seeing her grow – she was walking at this session. Where does the time go?! It is always interesting to photograph this age group – especially if they can walk – they just become SO busy. It was a blast though, and she couldn’t be cuter – hope you like my favorites!

These two are just adorable. Matt is a youth pastor and Stefanie is a nurse and they are just a fun, sweet couple. Let me just give you an idea of how this day went – this couple needs no instruction, no prompt to kiss or cuddle, no need for me to make them laugh, and they couldn’t look bad if they tried. What does that mean? One SUPER long blog preview!! So sit back and get comfy and check this out-

Favorite dress I’ve ever photographed. Hands down. Are you kidding me, Stefanie, seriously. Gorgeous.Stefanie had a bit of an untraditional edge to a few things – she traded in her diamond engagement ring for something a bit more “her” – love it 🙂And her handsome groom…Matt, you’re SO GQ 🙂Favorite.First look –Matt had to check out the dress…he liked it 🙂You two are adorable.Another favorite.I wasn’t kidding about their adorableness.Matt loves the city – we were stoked to have a break in traffic for this shot! Notice the horse carriage on the right. And the flower girls were so sweet…One shy, one not 🙂Funny story – Stefanie started feeling lightheaded during the ceremony and whispered to the pastor to cut things short and he did – she made it through the ceremony and no one was the wiser 🙂 Crisis averted!Entering their reception…First dance…Some CRAZY toasts! 🙂

I believe this is the third year I’ve had the pleasure of working with this family. They remind me so much of my own family (I have four sisters) and I always spend half the session laughing at their interactions. This was a special session because they dragged brought Dad along! 🙂 I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from their session – thanks again, Otto family, for allowing me to be the family photographer for another year 🙂
