I had a couple weekends of newborns in a row and it feels so good to get back to photographing little babies! I have been ‘off duty’ somewhat since my baby girl was born in March. I appreciate the flexibility of my recent clients especially, to work around my baby girl’s schedule and I loved snuggling your teeny babies! Here are some of my favorites from this most recent newborn session. This baby girl came a week early which is why we were able to push her session out a few weeks to the 2 week mark. Typically, newborns photograph best during that 5-10 day old window. They still want to be curled up and sleepy, and don’t mind being posed as much. It’s surprising how much difference just a few days can make when it comes to newborn photography! So if you’re expecting, make sure to get your session scheduled BEFORE your baby is born so you can make sure you don’t miss that precious window where you’ll get those sleepy images! Onto the pictures…

There’s something about babies with hair – I just think it’s adorable! And it’s always so silky soft…ahhh. Rylee did not disappoint. My perfect little model for the afternoon, she slept like a…well, a baby 🙂 I had fun posing her and seeing her sweet big sister – it’s hard to believe it was two years ago when I was photographing her as a newborn!
Here are some of my favorites from her session…Thank you, Aida, James and big sis Arya for letting me photograph your precious new baby girl.

Isn’t he irresistible!? Sweet little Krew was back for his 7 month mini session. I love love love seeing how newborns I photograph have grown over the past months. It’s always a joy to work with this family and little Krew did not disappoint – he was so adorable and smiled the whole time! I had a hard time choosing favorites, he was such a good model! Thanks for choosing me again, Pitzer family! <3

Every baby is special, Miles is no exception. His big brother came after years of fertility treatments and just a couple months before this family celebrated Gabriel’s first birthday, they found out they were unexpectedly expecting another baby! I was so excited at this news and was thrilled when they asked me to photograph Gabriel with a ‘big brother’ sign to surprise guests at his party! Now here we are, months later, enjoying baby Miles. Congratulations, Pello family! Thank you for letting me be a part of your exciting surprises 🙂 Here are some of my favorites from their session —

Our sweet baby girl. This little lady was the best newborn model for me and had I not been 10 days post c-section I would have used every last prop and backdrop I own for her because she just slept like a rock! But I quickly realized how exhausting shooting your own newborn portraits are while you’re recovering from surgery, so I had to settle this day and quit when I had exhausted myself.

I absolutely love her newborn portraits though, and I’m so glad I was even able to capture this many. She’s a precious, calm, bundle of snuggles and we couldn’t love her more. Without further ado, our finale baby, Eliette…
